Striking Fast: Raiders Sign Free Agent OT Kwame Harris

The Raiders have struck fast in free agency, as reports say they have signed former #1 draft pick OT Kwame Harris from the 49’ers. Harris was San Fran’s #1 pick back in 2003, the 26th pick overall. Many in San Fran have spent the last few seasons ripping on Harris, labeling him a bust and riding him about the amount of holding calls against him. The past few seasons he has appeared to have been playing a bit better, as in 2006 in 16 games played he had just one false start the whole year, as compared to seven in 2005. Harris played his college ball at Stanford.

Maybe we’ll spend some money on a player that matters or is worth the money. Maybe, someday.

Kwame Harris is by far under-appreciated and san fran’s hated him, but he was their scape goat…they had far worse problems as last season showed when they benched him. great pick for oakland lets go above .500 this year…

this is a great move and frees up our options in the draft if we were to take jake long he would move to right and that would be great for the young QB
