Raiders Guard Richie Incognito Suspended for First Two Games of 2019

The NFL has suspended Raiders left guard Richie Incognito for two games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

This stems from an incident last summer when Incognito was arrested for disorderly conduct and making threats following a tirade at his father’s funeral.

The Raiders were well-aware of Incognito’s mental-health struggles when they signed him in late May and have vowed to help him in that regard.

The four-time Pro Bowler spent last year out of the league but earned high marks from ProFootballFocus while playing for the Buffalo Bills in 2017.

  1. Berdj Joseph Rassam says:

Incognito has had several issues during his stint in the NFL, but given that this last incident occurred during his dad’s funeral, hopefully some amount of empathy was applied before deciding on his punishment.
