Derek Carr is having none of what Stephen A. Smith has to offer Tuesday, Daniel Mano of Bayareanewsgroup reports.
In the wake of comments Carr made Monday, seemingly his first lesson in relocation awkwardness, the Raiders quarterback called out the ESPN personality on Twitter.
When tweeted a video of Smith’s criticism, Carr calmly and surely shut down First Take — the program co-hosted by Smith.
Smith argued that Carr must have gumption to disqualify any Raiders fans, based on a reaction to Carr’s comments that the QB later called a misunderstanding.
“To literally say they’re not real fans, with the nonsense and the ineptitude that they have tolerated for more than a decade while still supporting this franchise?” Smith said. “He’s got a lot of nerve saying that.”
Seems like Carr — who clarified that he “loves ALL Raiders fans” in a tweet Monday night — disagrees with Smith’s interpretation of his comments.
