Defensive Coordinator Jason Tarver Returning To The Raiders

Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver is returning to the Raiders, Jerry McDonald of Bayareanewsgroup reports.

Tarver’s two-year contract was set to expire Tuesday but in news that was first reported by ESPN and the NFL Network, he signed again with the Raiders. The length of the contract was not released.

The Raiders confirmed they had retained assistant head coach and line coach Tony Sparano with a two-year deal on Saturday. According to the Raiders flagship station 95.7 The Game, special teams coach Bobby April will also return.

    We are very fortunate to have such a coaching staff. These guys are largely underemployed here in The Biggity O. They came here to help turn this ship around, and they pretty much all deserve at least two more years to do so.
