Cowboys at Raiders Preseason Week 1 Preview

Dallas Cowboys v Oakland Raiders

Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM football will officially be back, well preseason football anyway. I guess we have to take what we can get. The Raiders are kicking off the 2013 preseason at home against the Dallas Cowboys who are coming off a 24-20 win against the new look Miami Dolphins. The Raiders will finally be able to see their new look team in action which will be a good test for head coach Dennis Allen and GM Reggie McKenzie. I would not be surprised to see the Raiders go after more free agents as the preseason moves forward.

The first thing you need to keep your eye one is the injuries in this game because the Raiders have many of them, nothing serious but injuries none the less and it is effecting some players from starting on Friday night. New defensive tackles Pat Sims and Vance Walker are listed as questionable and so is WR Jacoby Ford. The Raiders need all the practice they can get if they are going to do anything this season so hopefully we can get Pat Sims and Vance Walker in for a few snaps Friday night. According to Dennis Allen, all four quarterbacks on the roster are expected to play and so is star running back Darren McFadden. For me, I would like to see Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor given extended playing time! They are the ones whom this offense will run around and both are competing for a starting job so hopefully we do not see Tyler Wilson until the fourth quarter.
