Raiders sign Safety Reggie Smith & RB Rashad Jennings

Raider’s GM Reggie McKenzie announced Thursay the signings of Safety Reggie Smith and Running Back Rashad Jennings.   Smith was selected by San Francisco in the third round in 2008.  He spent 4 years with the 49′ers.  He was at Panther’s training camp last year but was cut before the season.  In San Fran he played in 45 ganes with seven passes defended and two interceptions.  Jennings is expected to replace Mike Goodson (who went to the Jets) as the primary back up to Darren McFadden this year.  While with Carolina, Jennings played in 38 games in 3 seasons with 944 rushing yards and 7 TD’s.  After missing the 2011 season with a knee injury, Jennings returned to play 10 games last season and start six. He averaged just 2.8 yards per carry.
