NFL Week Two Preview – Oakland vs Miami

Two teams that fell in week one will do battle in Miami in week two, as the Raiders and Dolphins meet in an AFC showdown at Sun Life Stadium.

The Fins were bad last week in a 30-10 loss to the Texas, as rookie QB Ryan Tannehill was shaky at best in his first NFL start, going 20 for 36 for 219 yards with three picks, all within six minutes of the second quarter.

The Dolphins rushed for only 79 yards, held the ball for nearly 10 minutes less than the Texans and fumbled three times – losing one. They need a steady diet of Reggie Bush in order to beat the Raiders, and Tannehill needs to not make the same mistakes that cost the Dolphins in Houston.

“There were some good throws,” Miami coach Joe Philbin said. “He did some good things, there’s no question about it. It wasn’t like he got flustered. It wasn’t like you saw a ton of bad decisions. … There are some good pictures of him throwing the ball accurately and moving nicely in the pocket.”

The Raiders have a lot of issues of their own, as they lost at home Monday night to the Chargers 22-14 in a game they looked lackluster in for new head coach Dennis Allen.

Mysterious things seem to happen when the Raiders travel to Miami. Last years’ loss was embarrassing and mystifying. We got beat on the line and looked a step slower than the fish. If we are going to win in Miami this would be the year….
