Source: Carson Palmer to start at QB for Raiders vs. Chiefs

Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer is expected to start on Sunday against the Chiefs, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

The team’s offensive coordinator Al Saunders (former Chiefs OC) said “as long as he’s breathing” he will get the starting nod.

Palmer is currently on the Raiders’ “Reserve/Did Not Report” list following Tuesday’s trade between the Raiders and Palmer’s former club, the Bengals.

Palmer, who held out from the Bengals all season, was dealt Tuesday by Cincinnati in exchange for a 2012 first-round pick and a conditional second-rounder (which could be a first-rounder) in 2013.
