Seymour and Campell to Pay for Upcoming Player Workouts

Richard Seymour will be the main player behind the upcoming Raiders workouts, as the practices will take in Duluth and Seymour and QB Jason Campbell will pay for the workouts.

Roughly 25 players will be gathering in Duluth, Ga., at Competitive Edge Sports for a four-day passing camp Tuesday through May 27.

Defensive tackle Richard Seymour issued a news release (through his management firm) with the dates and times. Seymour, who organized the camp with Campbell, is personally funding the camp, the statement said. Seymour will lead the defense, and Campbell will direct the offense in workouts. The camp includes drills, weight lifting, swimming and nutritional counseling.

“Men, I hope everyone is well and staying in shape because we are going to out-work everyone we face this season, and it starts right now in the offseason,” Seymour wrote teammates in an e-mail. A lot of Raiders players can’t make it to the camp, as their pending free agency is up in the air during the current lockout.
