Cable Feels He’ll Be Back as Coach in 2010

NFP reports that current coach Tom Cable seems to feel that he’ll be back in the 2010 season:

Although he said he has yet to discuss his future with owner Al Davis, Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable expressed confidence during a conference call with Baltimore reporters that he will be retained despite the team’s 5-10 record heading into a final regular-season game against the Baltimore Ravens. “I have not,” Cable said when asked if he had spoken to Davis yet. “I expect to be here. You know, I really haven’t thought much about any of that stuff. We’re a team that is definitely on the rise, improving and all that. So, I’ve not really thought much about that.” “If we can win the game, it would give us six wins, which is more than the Raiders have won since 2002,” he said. “It would end the year on a positive note.”
