At the end of the Raiders – Chiefs game, didn’t you feel like you had already seen this movie?

  • Week 1 Monday Night loss at home (this time a lot more competitive)

  • Week 2 defeat of the Chiefs (this time a lot more competitive)

  • The defense has been on the field way to long (can’t get off the field on 3rd down and the inability of the offense to get 1st downs)

Has anything changed? Have they gotten better?

These are the main questions heading into the home game against the surprising 2-0 Denver Broncos, which is turning into one of the most important games in the Raiders in the last few years. A win gives them a 2-1 record overall and the AFC West, moves them into first place, and gives them momentum heading into their non-divisional games.

There are positives stories developing (young WR’s growing up, better run D, kicking game) but the major negatives remain from the team that only won 5 games last year. The boo birds will not wait long this Sunday if the same movie is showing at the McAfee Coliseum; the fans want to see a new story with a lot better ending this year.
