Good news for the Raiders, as reports say that rookie WR Darrius Heyward-Bey is finally catching on in camp:
Raiders rookie wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey shook off an early drop and turned in, perhaps, the best practice of his young NFL career Wednesday. Heyward-Bey punctuated a strong showing during the 2?1/2-hour practice by lunging for a Charlie Frye pass thrown well behind him and snaring it before it sailed out of bounds. Raiders coach Tom Cable said plays like that will help restore Heyward-Bey’s confidence after a shaky start in camp and spur him to new heights.
