Following the recent Raiders OTAs, the media had a chance to ask Raiders coach Tom Cable his thoughts on a variety of subjects. Here is what Coach Cable had to say about JaMarcus Russell’s planned meeting with the Oakland WR’s during the time off ” I think it is a big step, and to hear about that is obviously positive from a coaches stand point. It will be good to hear how that goes and to know what his plan is..” On recent the signings of Greg Ellis, Lorenzo Neal, and Jeff Garcia ” All of them are good players, first and foremost, and they bring some experience with them.” On his overall assessment of the past couple weeks, Coach Cable said, ” We wanted to get everything taught, get the players used to the new coaches, and focus on the changes on offense. I think we have done that. I think that we will be ready to go to camp and establish this team in terms of it’s mentality and what we are as a team. I cannot wait for mini-camp.”
