Rumors abound about what is going to happen with Falcons suspended QB Michael Vick, and not only if his NFL career is going to continue – but where it might continue.
There is no doubt that only a few selected teams would even take a look at Vick, who hasn’t taken a snap now since the 2006 season. That season he was effective, throwing 20 touchdowns and a QB rating of 75.7.
That brings us to the Raiders, who may have some interest in Vick, that of course being a vague interest according to the SF Chronicle.
Here is their tidbit on Vick maybe being in Oakland when he is allowed to play again.
Raiders coach Tom Cable declined to say if the Raiders are interested in acquiring Michael Vick, saying, “I’m not going to go there.” Cable was with Vick as a member of the Falcons’ staff in 2006. “I hope he gets everything back in order, gets his life straight,” Cable said. “Football needs to be secondary for him.”
