The Raiders added a couple more pieces and parts to their running back core on Friday, as they came to terms with fullback Lorenzo Neal, who they had been talking about adding for the past two weeks. Neal can be a bruiser, and has always been a great asset to running backs, and it’s a very good pickup for a team that can use some attitude on offense.

The other player added is former Steeler running back Gary Russell, who scored a touchdown in Super Bowl XLIII against the Cardinals. Russell becomes the fifth tailback on the roster. He is a pretty good third down back, and could add some power to short-yardage situations for the club.
