Could the Raiders turn to Madden for Help?

Now that former Raiders coach and Hall of Famer John Madden is done in the broadcasting booth, is there a chance of him coming back to the Raiders organization? Today’s SF Chronicle reports that Madden, who announced his retirement from being the color man on Sunday night football yesterday, would be the perfect fit to come in and help the Raiders reach past glory.

There are rumblings that the 73-year-old could very well get back together with Al Davis and get back involved with the Raiders. Don’t forget Davis was the one to present Madden at the Hall of Fame a few years back, so they are still pretty tight.

It would not be a surprise to see Madden be offered a position as a consultant who gives advice that Davis will trust and respect.
