I guess former Raider and now NFL Network talking head Warren Sapp is not a big fan of new Raiders coach Tom Cable. In a recent NFL.com chat Sapp was asked the question about Cable becoming the new coach of the silver and black.

Warren Sapp held an chat on NFL.com Thursday and while he paid a glowing tribute to Al Davis, he apparently doesn’t think much of the ability of his former boss to select a coach.

Q: Do you think Cable is good enough to lead the Raiders?

Sapp: Tom Cable couldn’t lead the Raiders to a picnic in his own back yard.

Wow, you have to wonder what Cable ever did or said to Sapp to make him think that.

As for Al Davis, Sapp was a lot more positive in his feelings towards him:

“One of the true legends of the game. It was an absolute pleasure to play for the man. The only thing is, I wish I could have won more for him. He embodies everything that the NFL is. He’s unmistakable. Recognize greatness when you see it, because it won’t be around too much longer. I love Al.”
