The Raiders officially announced the hiring of Lionel Washington to coach defensive backs, and also have retained assistant coach Kelly Skipper, who will move from tight ends to running backs. Washington has been with the Green Bay Packers since 1999 as an assistant, most recently coaching cornerbacks and the nickel package. Skipper was brought in originally to coach running backs during Lane Kiffin’s first year, moving to tight ends when the Raiders hired Tom Rathman, who had no experience with tight ends.
