In the past couple of days, Tom Cable has been interviewing assistants, such as Lionel Washington, to come to Oakland. While it may sound unusual, Jon Gruden was interviewing coaches days before he got the job, and Bill Callahan was named “Captain of the Coaches” 22 days before he became the Head Coach. If Cable isn’t hired, there is a good chance he will be offered the offensive line coach, or become the offensive coordinator.
