As a correspondent on the NFL Network in its Around the League segment, former Raiders executive Mike Lombardi had this to say about Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh: “Well, Captain Comeback is popular all over the National Football League, but he’s not popular in Oakland where he worked. That’s not a place that he’ll talk to. But I think Jim Harbaugh is an attractive candidate because he’s a former player in the league, former MVP, led the team to the playoffs, now he’s got head coaching experience, and he’s done a marvelous job at Stanford.
