It’s always nice when you can pick up another team’s discarded player. It’s especially nice when he comes from one of your fiercest rivals. According to ESPN’s Bill Williamson, the Raiders have signed former Chiefs safety Greg Wesley to a one-year contract. Signed for a modest 730-thousand dollars, Wesley is expected to compete for the backup position behind starters Michael Huff and Gabril Wilson. The 30-year old Wesley, who was released by Kansas City last week, has recorded 29 interceptions over his eight-year career. The Chiefs originally selected Wesley out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the third-round of the 2000 NFL Draft
