Not So Fast - Ryan To Stay as Raiders D-Coordinator

So much for Rob Ryan getting canned.  Today the Radiers came out and said that the team is NOT letting the defensive coordinator go, and that such talk through reports and websites is not correct.  “The recent conjecture regarding the removal of Rob Ryan is incorrect and the constant barrage of rumors is irresponsible,” team spokesman Mike Taylor said. “The Raiders organization stated that the speculation that Rob Ryan will be relieved of his duties should stop.”  The report says that Ryan would be back for a fifth season.  The defense was a total letdown for the Raiders this season, allowing 145.9 yards per game on the ground and league worst 4.8 yards per carry.  There were rumors that Lane Kiffin’s dad - Bucs D coordinator Monte Kiffin, was offered the postion, but Monte spoke out to the media in Tampa Bay and said he’s going nowhere.  As for Ryan, the Raiders have allowed the fifth-most yards in the NFL while he’s run the defense.
