As the Raiders travel to play the Chiefs today, could we see the debut of #1 pick QB JaMarcus Russell? Why not, the Raiders are not going anywhere fast, and while it would be good for him to continue to sit and learn, I think it’s time we get to see what the first overall pick can do. The Boston Globe is reporting today that Russell is very close to taking the field, something that head coach Lane Kiffin does not deny. “He’s had a great last couple of weeks, and we’re continuing to push him and looking for the right opportunity for getting him in the game,” said Kiffin. “That could happen as early as this week.” Put em in there, what else do we have to look forward to the rest of 07?
