It was a homecoming of sorts for Oakland quarterback Daunte Culpepper as he returned to the field where he spent six years as a starter. But despite Culpepper having his best passing game since he was a Vikings quarterback in 2005, the Raiders still lost, 29-22 in the Metrodome. Culpepper was 23 of 39 for 344 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. Ronald Curry hauled in four passes for 120 yards for Oakland, which fell to 2-and-8 with its sixth straight loss. Sebastian Janikowski booted five field goals for the Raiders in defeat. Chester Taylor, subbing for an injured Adrian Peterson, rushed for 164 yards with three touchdowns for MInnesota, which moved to 4-and6 with its second win in three games. The Raiders have now lost 22 of 26 games since the start of last season, and 57 of 74, since the start of 2003.
