Asomugha’s Knee Injury Not as Bad as Thought

Despite what could have been a bad knee injury, it looks as if cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha will not miss a lot of playing time after being hurt Sunday vs the Texans.  “We’re still looking at some things with (Asomugha),” head coach Lane Kiffin said Monday. “We’ll have more information (today). … It’s not really bad, we know that.”  Asomugha is the teams best corner, and while the team is still scrapping on offense to find points, it’s good to know that the soon to be free agent will likley be back for the final stretch run.  “Nnamdi’s perfect,” Kiffin said. “I just hope he’s going to be with us for a long time because he’s exactly what we want to build around. The way that he prepares, the way that he works and the way that he is as a captain.”
