Last years game in Oakland

It’s a battle of struggling AFC teams this Sunday afternoon as the Oakland Raiders play host to the Houston Texans. The Raiders come into this weekend’s contest at 2-and-5, having lost their past three games. After carving up the Miami Dolphins to the tune of 35 points and 369 total yards, the Raiders’ offense has basically shut down when a scoring opportunity has been there for the taking. Since that September 30th victory, Oakland has managed to score 14, 10 and nine points in their past three games, respectively. In an effort to change his team’s fortunes, head coach Lane Kiffin announced yesterday that Josh McCown will get the start at quarterback. Meanwhile, the Texans are 3-and-5, having dropped their past three games. Sunday will mark only the third ever meeting between the clubs with Houston having won the previous two contests. Kickoff from McAfee Coliseum is set for 1:15 p.m.
