Russell To Play? “When He’s Ready”, Says Raiders Coach

With another game in the loss column and less than inspiring play on Sunday from quarterback Daunte Culpepper,┬áRaiders fans are starting to call for rookie JaMarcus Russell to finally make his debut. If and when the highly touted quarterback from LSU makes his “Silver and Black” debut is of course, up to head coach Lane Kiffin. On the team’s web-site, the first-year head coach was asked whether he opposes bringing in the top pick in the draft. Kifin responded by saying, “No, if I feel that JaMarcus can help us win, we will start him or we will play him. Whenever that situation comes, whenever he is ready to help us win, we will put him in.” The 2-and-4 Raiders are in Nashville this Sunday to face the Tennessee Titans.
