Culpepper

This time, there’s no doubt. Daunte Culpepper will get the start at quarterback this weekend for the Oakland Raiders.  Head coach Lane Kiffin made the announcement on the team’s website, saying Culpepper will start with Andrew Walter his backup and JaMarcus Russell at number-three.  While his passing-yardage wasn’t anything to write home about, Culpepper was a part of all five Raiders’ touchdowns in their victory against the Miami Dolphins on September 30th. Culpepper tossed for a pair of touchdowns and ran for three more as the Raiders walked out of Miami with a 35-17 win.  Kiffin also talked about running back Dominic Rhodes, who’s returning to action after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.  Kiffin said, “he looks quick as he always has been.  We won’t know until we throw him in the game.”  The Raiders battle the Chargers this Sunday in San Diego.
