The Raiders learned Tuesday that the injury to Tommy Kelly is bad enough that the DE is gone for the rest of the 2007 season. Kelly has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The injury took place Sunday early in the third quarter while making a tackle in the loss to the Titans.
He missed the rest […]
Oakland Waives Williams; Close to Signing Dwight
According to ESPN, the Oakland Raiders waived wide receiver Mike Williams yesterday and are close to signing wide receiver/return specialist Tim Dwight. The 23-year old Williams came to Oakland along with quarterback Josh McCown during a draft-day trade with the Detroit Lions. While the Raiders defense was at fault for giving up a lot of yards on the ground Sunday in a 13-9 loss to the Titans, head coach Lane Kiffin was more upset with the way his offense play at LP Field. “You can’t play offense like that and win,” Lane Kiffin said. “That’s no secret.” […]
Raiders Can’t Stop Run; Fall 13-9 to Titans
The Raiders had a great shot to steal a game Sunday in Tennessee, but they forgot to do one very important thing - stop the run. Overall the Titans rushed for 192 yards on 36 carries, putting up 5.6 yards per carry, as they topped the Raiders 13-9 at LP Field. The Titans passing game, […]

Running back LaMont Jordan is a no-go for tomorrow’s game at San Diego against the 2-3 Chargers. Reports state that the back issue that faces Jordan is not better, and Lane Kiffin said on Friday that the back is “worse than ever” so he will be deactivated for the contest.
