Culpepper start likely against Denver in week 2
Posted by Michael Loede on September 15th, 2007 filed in Features, Game Stories, Main, NewsIt looks as though Daunte Culpepper is expected to start at QB for the Raiders Sunday against the Broncos after Fridays practice saw Josh McCown leave early with a sore foot. McCown’s right foot was sprained in the first half of the season opening loss against the Lions and was not at practice Wednesday because of the soreness of his foot. Josh did practice Thursday, but was unable to finish Fridays practice. He is officially listed as doubtful. Coach Lane Kifflin stated that he is “anticipating Duante to start for us.” Culpepper signed with Oakland July 31. He started only 4 games in Miami last year before his season ending knee injury. This will be his first start for the Raiders in a regular season game.
