Quarterback JaMarcus Russell hit the practice field Wednesday after signing a contract with the Raiders. Russell was drafted number-one overall in April, but the 22-year-old LSU standout remained a holdout through all of training camp and the exhibition season, as well as the team’s home opener on Sunday. Russell could earn as much as 68-million-dollars over the life of the six-year-contract, if he meets all of the incentives included in the deal. Russell will earn a rookie record 29-million-dollars in guaranteed money.
