Culpepper Gets the Call to Start vs Rams

Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin has named Duante Culpepper the starting quarterback for Friday night’s preseason game against the St. Louis Rams. The 30-year old Culpepper will be Oakland’s third starting QB this preseason. Josh McCown started the exhibition opener against Arizona while Andrew Walter got the starting nod this past Saturday against San Francisco. Culpepper was signed last month as a free-agent after contract talks with top draft pick JaMarcus Russell broke down. Kickoff between the Raiders and Rams is scheduled for 7 p.m. at McAfee Coliseum.
