Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin remains in a Napa Valley hospital recovering from a viral infection. Kiffin was sent to Queen of the Valley Medical Center when be became ill before Monday’s practice session. While the hospital won’t give out details of his condition, Kiffin hopes to return to the sidelines in time for Saturday’s preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers at Monster Park. While Kiffin continues his recovery, offensive coordinator Greg Knapp and defensive coordinator Rob Ryan have been running the practice drills. At just 32 years-of-age, Kiffin is the youngest head coach in modern NFL history. He replaced Art Shell, who was fired after a disastrous 2-and-14 season– the team’s worst record in over 40 years.
