McNeal Released By Raiders

According to ESPN, the Raiders have released reserve defensive end Bryant McNeal.  TheMcNeal announcement comes less than a week after McNeal was arrested on an outstanding warrant in South Carolina.  The 27-year old McNeal was arrested last Thursday near Columbia, South Carolina during a traffic stop.  A routine background check revealed McNeal was wanted in Florida on allegations that he sold a vehicle he didn’t own to a pawn broker in 2005. McNeal was originally taken by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2003 draft, but various injuries kept him on the bench.  He was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the 2004 season, but never appeared in a game and was eventually cut before the 2005 campaign.  The University of Clemson product has never played in a regular season game.
