Raiders Sign Fifth-Round Pick Richardson

The Oakland Tribune reports that the Oakland Raiders have come to terms with rookie fifth-round draft pick Jay Richardson, a defensive end from Ohio State. Richardson became the second of the team’s 12 draft choices to sign well in advance of the July 26 opening of training camp in Napa. Earlier, the Raiders signed Cincinnati safety John Bowie, the fourth-round pick they obtained in the deal that sent wide receiver Randy Moss to New England. The 6-foot-6 and 280-pound Richardson recorded 53 tackles with seven sacks during his career with the Buckeyes.
